Abstract
Looking for an introduction into the relationship between archaeology and video games? Join us for a brief look at how archaeology has influenced video games over the years, from Tomb Raider to Assassin’s Creed. I will also explore how video games have begun to influence the practice of archaeology in the field and in online spaces. Come learn about ways archaeology and video gaming can be mutually supportive, especially in meeting public archaeology goals.
Biographical Information
Achi Ikeda graduated from PSU with a Bachelor in Anthropology in 2020. Since then, she has been working as a speech and debate teacher for grade school students. Her interests are in education and video games. She is a life long gamer and is currently a staff writer for the online publication Nintendojo. She hopes to eventually combine those two interests with the help of anthropology.
